Last night , the MBCG overwhelmingly rejected the proposal to change the hours and days of alternate side parking in Manhattan Beach. A motion had been made at a recent Community Board 15 Meeting to cut the days and hours. Nearly everyone felt this was not the solution to help our neighbors who live near the College.
Michael Nelson, our New York City Councilman addressed us last night. It felt like a son coming home. He brought us up to speed on all his new initiatives and he heard concerns from those in attendance. We also want to wish Mike and his beautiful bride all the very best. MBCG has as part of our bylaws the following rule-A happy wife, happy life. Enjoy marriage you kids.
Anthony Testaverde, Special Assistant to State Senator Martin J. Golden was warmly welcomed and received loud applause when he announced that redistricting was bringing us State Senator Golden as our new NY Sate Senate representative in Albany. We are overjoyed to get the best State Senator New York has. A thousand thousand welcomes to you!!!!!!!.
Michael Tracy, Congressional Aide to Congressman Robert I. Turner told us the good news that they have opened up an office in the old Bay News building on Sheepshead Bay Road. Welcome to the neighborhood. We are very happy to have an opportunity to get to know both the Congressman and his staff.
